I know I'll end up being late with my list, but after a really really shitty day yesterday at my sister's wedding reception, I just can't focus enough to finish it up. At the moment, I have 45 games I just pulled off the top of my head, and I haven't even touched on most of the ancient gen games I love, so hopefully at some point tomorrow I can get some sort of basic 25 popped up and ready to go.

Here we go! Sorry to take so long with this, but to be honest, I kept either forgetting about it or thinking about it when I was away from the comp, and THEN forgetting about it. More info after the post! Enjoy! Obviously you guys can check through this thread and see why people picked what they did. A few votes had to be thrown out because they were for entire series instead of just games and weren't amended. On a reverse note, some games were grouped together (like the Street Fighter II series) because there were enough totally similar entries that I couldn't see making separate votes for goofy shit (like Hyper Fighting, Championship Edition, etc.), or because I just couldn't be bothered to check on them (see: Pokemon anything LOL). Around 11 people submitted lists. Thanks to those 11 people fo' KEEPIN' THE DREAM ALIVE!!! Or something. Most of the lists were quoted between here and the MpireMall boards, but if it looks like there might be one or two missing, the other thread is HERE. Feel free to check it out. WWF No Mercy came in with a landslide of the votes. I was actually kind'a shocked at this, but it's just a testament to the truly awesome gameplay of this decade-old title. The top 5 saw a 38 point difference between #1 and #5, with Batman: Arkham Asylum, Fallout 3, Super Mario 64 (!!!!!!) and some Pokemon games taking those slots. Considering that only 2 of these games were new, current-gen titles, I think that definitely says that new is not necessarily better! Slots 6 through 10 only held a total of 5 points' difference between them and saw ties for 9th and 10th. A wide variety of games was represented, from the new breed current-gen sequels (#6's Rock Band 2 and #7's Mass Effect 2) to last-gen and older blockbusters (Final Fantasy 10, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (!!!!!), Super Smash Bros. and GTA: San Andreas) before hitting the current gen once again with the recent smash hit, Uncharted 2: Beyond Thieves. The remaining spots in the top 25 were largely ties, leading to the Top 25 Console Games turning into the Top 48 Console Games. Again, results were varied, from newer hits to classic platformers to the grandpa of wrestling games (PRO WRESTLING, W()()T!!!) to JRPGs and beyond. The rest were tied up even worse (which was to be expected given the structure of the voting), with the Top 25 poll bringing in an epic total of 205 games. Thanks for all who participated! I'll be posting this at the top post and the last post of this thread so new folks can see the results right off the bat. Thanks again!
