The Wrestler Handbook v2.3
Updated 03/08/10
Edits in yellow
Wrestlers must be original or celebrities, but no real life wrestlers. This does not apply to relatively unknown indy wrestlers. Fictional characters are perfectly acceptable.
Wrestlers must be submitted in formula format. We're now simming on Wrestling MPire 2008 on the PC this year, so a formula is the only solution. No griping. IF YOU CAN'T TYPE UP A FORMULA, DO NOT APPLY. Simple as that.
New members are limited to 1 wrestler, with 1 additional wrestler available at the Committee's discretion. There's really no upper limit, but very few people have proven themselves to be able to handle more than 2 characters, especially in the last couple of years, so if you want 'em, you'll have to earn 'em.
Stats limits will be up soon. Wrestlers get 150 stat points to allocate to whatever stats they want.
Please make certain that your wrestler is proportionate. If your created wrestler is (for example) a 7-foot-tall, musclebound character, and you try to put him in as a lightweight, your wrestler will NOT be accepted until it's reworked.
NEW MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A SAMPLE PROMO IN THE NEW BLOOD SECTION. This is used to gauge both your writing skills and where you intend to go with your character, as well as giving the Committee a feel for him/her. Posting a promo that is out of character (i.e. mentioning that OCW is an efed, writing from your point of view instead of your character's, etc.) is NOT acceptable for this. Similarly, a promo that lists the reasons why you want to join will be completely ignored. If you want to tell us why you want to join, that's fine; do it in a separate post. Sample promos are supposed to be representative of your wrestler, NOT you.
That's pretty much it. If you have any questions, concerns, or general comments, please private message me or one of the other Committee members, or feel free to private message me here on the boards. Thanks!
