Section 1: Backstage Attacks
Yes, you can attack characters backstage in OCW. Send backstage attack requests to the simmer of the show, formatted something like this:
I want <my wrestler's name> to attack <target wrestler> at the next event.
Optionally, you can add specific times and/or locations. Format:
I want <my wrestler's name> to attack <target wrestler> at the next event, <time, as in before/after certain matches, end of show, etc.>, in the <location>.
Example:
I want Chupacabra to attack El Diablo at the next event, before El Diablo's match, in the bar. Thanks!
(Heh- Thanks is the magic word. It makes a lot of things possible here in OCW.)
Locations are limited to in-ring or in the parking lot this year. Thanks, THQ.
CONSEQUENCES OF A BACKSTAGE ATTACK:
Yes, there are consequences, coming in the form of injuries and punishment.
INJURIES:
First, the number of finishers each wrestler takes during the attack is tallied. Each finisher equals 1 Injury Point. Injury Points are lost between shows at a rate of 3 points between shows. This includes shows that they're suspended from.
Points are then modded by the PUNISHMENT roll (in the section below) to come up with the Consequences for each part, and then subject to the following:
Each Injury Point will culminate in an Orange body part for each point, randomly selected with a 6-sided die, using the table below:
For each part that is rolled twice, that part will be made Red. Third rolls for each part are ignored and must be rerolled and applied to another body part. Therefore anyone with 8 points or more will start a match completely Red.
PUNISHMENT:
After a backstage attack, percentile dice (100 sides) are rolled, once for each attacker and once for each victim. The results will sometimes affect the wrestlers' Injury Points. ALL CONSEQUENCES ARE CUMULATIVE. Then, the results are compared to the tables below to determine the consequences and effects of the attack:
Victim:
1-5.........The Victim's injuries look worse than they are; lose all Injury Points.
6-15.......The doctor says the Victim is doing better than expected. Subtract 1 Injury Point.
16-35.....A friend/enemy of the Attacker comes by and together, they drag the Attacker to the ring for a 2-on-1 beatdown in front of the fans! The Attacker gains whatever Injury Points come from this match as well, and the Victim loses 1 Injury Point.
35-50.....No change.
51-65.....The Victim goes insane and berzerkers all over the Attacker! Both wrestlers gain 1 Injury Point as the Victim rampages.
66-80.....Both wrestlers lose 1 Injury Point as security breaks up the fight, and both are booked in a TLC match or Backstage Brawl at the very next event and their injuries there added to their injuries from this attack before consequences become active.
81-95.....The Victim is hurt seriously and gains 1 Injury Point.
96-100...The Victim is critically injured and gains 2 Injury Points. Their Attacker gains 15 points to their Consequence Roll.
Attacker:
1-5.........The Attacker(s) receive no punishment. Their injuries are superficial; subtract 1 Injury Point from each Attacker.
6-15.......The Attacker(s) receive no punishment.
16-35.....The Attacker(s) are suspended from one show.
35-50.....The Attacker(s) are suspended from 2 shows.
51-65.....As the Attacker(s) turn their back to leave, the Victim gets up, picks up a nearby length of lead pipe and nails them! Add 1 Injury Point to each Attacker.
66-80.....The Attacker(s) are placed in a 2-on-1 handicap match at the next episode of the show on which the original attack occurred.
81-94.....The Attacker(s) are placed in a 3-on-1 handicap match at the next show of the same brand. Don't be a bitch then! lol
95-100...Tables turned! The Victim loses all Injury Points as an ally/enemy of the Attacker comes by and attacks the Attacker with no penalities!
Finally, the resulting Injury Points are tabulated to determine a wrestler's Injuries:
INJURIES
0 Points- Wrestler is fine, with no nagging injuries of any sort.
1-2 Points- Wrestler is relatively okay. Any and every other backstage attacks at this show will add 1 to this wrestler's Injury Points in addition to whatever other points occur, but if there are no other attacks, no injuries occur.
3 Points- Any and every other backstage attacks at this show OR THE NEXT will add 1 to this wrestler's Injury Points in addition to whatever other points occur at that time, but if there are no other attacks, no injuries occur.
4-5 Points- The Wrestler is injured enough to miss 1 show, and will gain 1 additional Injury Point per attack that occurs up through the next show they're a part of.
5-6 Points- The Wrestler must miss 2 shows due to injury and will gain 1 additional Injury Point per attack that occurs up through the next show they're a part of.
7 Points and up- The wrestler must miss 2 shows due to injury and will gain 2 additional Injury Points per attack that occurs up through the next show they're a part of.
Section 2: Limits and More Consequences
Each wrestler you have is limited to one backstage attack per show. However, losses trump the following bit.
So for example, say the way the card and luck and simmer's prerogative ends up, your wrestler has a backstage attack and then a match.
If the wrestler were to become injured enough to have a miss a show and the wrestler hasn't had his match for the current show, the wrestler will miss his match due to injury. The simmer is at their discretion to fill in with a suitable substitute in this case.
