Looking at the roster for this game, I'm not too impressed. I really miss the rosters of 2006 and 2007~ How can you not be impressed with the roster? They are only missing a handful of wrestlers from the current roster most of which are iffy at best. I'm personally glad they didn't fill the game with a bunch of "Legends" and only have a very few this year. People Missing... RAWAlica Fox Chris Masters Jim Duggan Hornswoggle Jamie Noble Jillian Rosa Mendes SmackdownCharlie Haas Curt Hawkins David Hart Smith Drew McIntyre Jimmy Wang Yang Kung Fu Naki Layla Tyson Kidd ECWAbraham Washington Courtney Taylor DJ Gabriel Gregory Helms Katie Lea Burchill Paul Burchill Sheamus Tyler Reks Yoshi Tatsu Zack Ryder

No, no, that's not what I meant. What I meant was that 2010's roster is mostly new wrestlers, or ones that are relatively new. Looking at 2007's roster...
Batista JBL Randy Orton The Big Show Jillian Hall Rey Mysterio Bobby Lashley Joey Mercury Ric Flair The Boogeyman John Cena Rob Van Dam Booker T Johnny Nitro Shawn Michaels Candice Michelle Kane Shelton Benjamin Carlito Ken Kennedy Snitsky Chavo Guerrero Kid Kash Super Crazy Chris Benoit Kurt Angle Torrie Wilson Chris Masters Lance Cade Trevor Murdoch Daivari Lita Triple H Edge Mark Henry Trish Stratus Eugene Matt Hardy Umaga Finley Melina The Undertaker The Great Khali Mickie James Viscera Gregory Helms Paul Burchill Vito Hardcore Holly Psicosis William Regal
I'm just saying, I'm still liking the older rosters than the more current ones~

So you're complaining that 2010 has too many of the current WWE roster?

That's kinda cool, but like the first video showed, the AI for the thing is umm well off.

I think its still a work in progress so HOPEFULLY its not like that in the final.. or thats gonna suck. I wish you could do it for other modes, i seldom play exhibition.

Still better than the rivals system in Raw 2; in that game, your enemies would charge the ring almost exactly 3 minutes in (if I remember right) every single time and proceed to beat down your opponent instead of you.

Wow.... they must HATE their enemy so much, they need to beat up their opponent to show them they do a better job

Only thing I remember from RAW 2 was the fact that you could almost win every match simply by running out during their entrances.
I expect the storymodes to look like the storymodes from Smackdown Here Comes the Pain and such, only customizable and better graphics...

Fucking DAMN it. xbox360.ign.com/articles/103/1033724p1.htmlLooks like earning stats is pretty much the same as '09, but you earn stats for every single mode. This is gonna be a BITCH. Looks like abilities are more or less the same way as they are now, too. *sigh*

You can sit and put 6 caws in a match, sim it, and they earn the stats via sim. You then are able to put the stat points WHEREVER you want. You don't HAVE to raise any single stat, or are forced to raise stats at all. They accumulate, meaning you could just as well use 1 caw as a base, raise it's stats to where you want it, then clone that one so many times and make all caws equal.

Doesn't sound like it to me; from what they said, it sounds exactly like this year's stuff- just in every match instead of career.
Add to that that caws very well might be gaining stats in simmed matches, and even if we CAN clone them, we might have to just max everyone's stats out to give everyone an even shot.
Ah well... maybe we can at least still pick and choose abilities. That's better than nothing.

I thought I seen im the review where if mentioned "banking points". If that's true we can still have a set limit.

Hey all. I was just wondering what system everyone was getting this for? I've got it reserved for the 360.

360... has the best limitations as far as created story stuff.
There's a lot of interesting vids on this on YouTube- get on there and search "royal rumble finishers"- looks like it could be good, as long as the AI doesn't still just try to dump people out immediately.

Okay... well, we got another piece of fun info today:
When you download a caw that's been posted (and no, I don't know if there's any direct trading like in previous years, but I haven't heard anything about it), you can't edit it. At all. Whatsoever.
That means stats, moves, entrance, music, whatever. You download it, and that's it; you're stuck with it as is. Additionally, if they have a custom soundtrack, you get a caw that has (according to what's been posted) either no music or the Raw theme. Permanently.
Argh... come the fuck on.
So it sounds like there might just be some formulas needed after all... cuz I'm not manually editing in that much music. Anyone else simming on a 360 will be able to get my copies though, if you don't mind the music thing.
Fuck, fuck, fuckity fuck. Why in the hell. Seriously.
And they look pretty... well, plastic, this year, too. Reminds me of '05, the first SvR, when everyone looked like a weird action figure or something, except it's all over- the bodies just have a lack of detail and a weird glossiness that makes them look odd.
Eh, the price ya pay to get a caw put together right... at least once things are together, we shouldn't have much to worry about. I don't think. I hope.
Fuck. Just... fuck.

Guess we shouldn't be too surprised... THQ makes it look like the best wrestling game ever.... only to tell us that our world would still have limits to it....

Well for those of you who have it what are your thoughts about it. Personally I like it so far. I've got Bandit just about where I want his looks wise. Still tweaking the moves but other than that and his Tron vid I'm about done. I've started the CAW RTWM and dig it so far.
I haven't gotten to the CAS yet Although I did get me a cheap USB keyboard to help with the text part. SCSA and DX are bringing the attitude back to the WWE and there is nothing Vince can do about it...lol

I'm loving it so far. Created about 7 ppl, complete, and downloaded a few (Owen Hart, Burchill, KENTA, 80's Muta and a few other ppls originals I know). My only gripe, is the noses are too prominant on the male caws. They tend stick out too much, and the men all wind up looking similar somewhat. The women are amazing this year though.

I think there's a lot of good points, but similarly, there's a lot of really bad, ignorant, stupid-ass restrictions. Like having height and weight tied together- sorry, but I'm 245 lbs and I'm 5'8"; now, if I sit down to make Chupa, either he has to be taller than he is or he has to settle for being a light heavyweight. That's just fucking ignorant as hell.
Restrictions on gender interaction are stupid too, and I'm not even getting into the caw mode yet, because I'm not doing it in depth until I finish all of the RtWM modes, which I just hate. The stories are ignorant and boring as fuck and even skipping cutscenes, it just drags ON and ON and ON...
And okay, a little on caw mode I guess- so now, not only do we have a 64 layer restriction, but we can't even have enough points to make a full business suit, AND we can only use 2 "high rez" (a.k.a. still blocky as fuck and smaller than hell) paint patterns per caw? I mean, yeah, as much as you want, but come ON... that's just stupid. Not to mention the lack of paint pattern slots.
No trading between profiles. No trading between saves. No direct trading. No editing downloaded caws (so yeah, we're going to still have formulas this next year). And on and on and on and on...
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are good points, but overall, the way I'm looking at it- it looks like a good engine for an efed, but I fucking hate playing it. HATE playing it.
Except for rumble and championship scramble, those are pretty fun. And Story Designer is neat; it'll take a bit to get all the nuances, but in 20 minutes I had a short little storyline where JR showed up as a guest where there was a love triangle between him, Jesse and Michael Cole (naturally), and later on, where he was about to get an enema from Maryse, whoever the fuck that is. That was pretty grand, and points to some great fun to be had as we move along in the fed. Definitely need a usb keyboard though- this little controller keyboard attachment skips letters too often to make it usable.
Overall, I think it's a decent engine with some inanely stupid restrictions, but at the same time, it's infinitely better than the shitfest that was 2009. But I also think that, as a game, I'd rather smash my big toe repeatedly with a jagged rock than play it- I fucked with it for close to 12 hours the day I got it, skipping most of the cutscenes, and still have about 3 RtWM things to go through. I just really, really HATE those. SO frickin' ignorant.
So much testing to do, and it's hard to pull myself away from Borderlands. Now THAT is a good game...

Hey Chupa I got a Logitech USB keyboard at wal-mart for 12 bucks and it works like a charm. I was gonna order one but I figured by the time I paid S/H I'd have more than 12 bucks in it.
And on a side note I thought they said we would be able to upload and download the created logos? I was on live for a few min after I got home with the game but haven't been back on since to check.

Here's a shitty thing I just noticed. I created Angel, and decided I was tired of getting my head smashed in because I wasn't screwing with my attributes, because I found out that if you download a CAW you can in fact change there stats and that's about it. I'm still confused on why they have the Downloaded Wrestler option in the create and entrance mode but anyways!
So I made a copy of Angel in the CAW area, and leveled up the stats of my original one. I later went and simmed a match between Angel and Sylas, because there stats were similar (39 Angel, 41 Sylas). After the match they gained there normal blah blah blah increases. I went to the editor, and none of the increases I had from the original copy of Angel were there. So it seems that if you make a copy of a CAW all the stats drop back down to minimums unless you spend the points, talk about the suck.

Someone PLEASE tell me I'm imagining things. No more patterns for clothing? I'm going to have to actually draw a repeating 'scale' pattern for Chupa's mask and gauntlets? WHAT IN THE FUCK?
