Burnout Paradise. An awesome racer (and great co-op achievement getter) that saw the original release and the Ultimate Box, which included some of the DLC, but not even all that had been released up to current.
The game has enough DLC that you could probably spend a good $50 on it alone and not have it all. From a completely new island to additional/modified/joke/toy vehicles, bikes and more, this game has a lot to offer, IF you can pony up the cash.
However, I noticed last night as I was browsing the Playstation Store (waiting for one of many discs to finish burning), under New Releases, lo and behold- Burnout Paradise: the Complete Collection. For $19.99 (or $29.99 if you don't have the original game yet), you can have all of the DLC- every bit of it!
Hell of a bargain, right? EXCEPT...
It's not available on XBox Live!!! ARGH!!!
I'm hoping it comes to XBL this coming week. I will buy the SHIT out of that. I will buy the shit out of it and I will HUMP that bastard into submission!
Anyone else dig the Burnout?

I picked up the Ultimate Box a few months back for $20 at a local walmart. Nailed a few achievements, but then got sidetracked with a new game. Haven't played since.

I didn't play anything else after getting it for a good long while. I had everything done, all the cars, and the majority of the multiplayer stuff- I had a good chunk of the 6-player and up stuff left and I think all of the multiplayer race stuff to do, but I lost my save, so I'll be more or less starting over when I get around to it, which will be whenever this brick of DLC pops up on Live Arcade for $20.
I frickin' LOVE Burnout, and Paradise was just so much more fun than previous games in the series.

I love Burnout, its one of my fav racing series (NOTHING beats Mario Kart, end of.), but I was sort left..... well, disappointed with Paradise.... and I sort of can't put my finger on why I don't like it (though, thats the same with most things lol).
I mean, I love the things that make what Burnout is today, the crashes, A.I actually being competitive, the crashes, the damn-age (damage, damn that looks sweeeeeeet), the crashes...... did I mention crashes that look BEA-utiful. But then thinking about what makes it a disappointment, I can't pinpoint exactly what makes it that way..... maybe its the models of the cars don't look all that, or just that the city doesn't do much at take my attention, though zooming down the streets doesn't really give you time to admire lol.

I like Mario Kart-style games, but the Mario Kart series itself doesn't do a lot for me- especially the Wii one. While the motion steering was neat, the computer cheats like hell anytime you're in 1st place. I can't stand when a game's AI is like that.

Well now theres a solution to your problems!!!.... Blur is amazing for Mario Kart-like arcade racing with powerups (no cheap blue shell), but with licenced cars.... the multiplayer beta is out now if you wanna try it, with 20 cars at once on a track, it's mental at times.

I'm just waitin' for the game to pop out, I know I'll snag it- if it's an arcade racer, I nab it.
But right now I'm enjoying Sonic & Sega Allstars Racing- that game is fun as hell, and considering how much I hate the Wii, it's the closest I'll get to a nice, clean-looking Mario Kart clone. Still having difficulty winning, but that's what racing's about! Hee hee

True dat- after the initial mod, it's pretty easy to update the firmware (if needed) too. I just slapped the LT 1.1 on each of our 360s, easy as pie. The 360 is a lot easier to take apart than the Wii, too.
