Okay, here we go! I'll just hop into it, and include everything that is definite or close to it at this point.
*We'll be restarting around the first of the year, as usual. Actually probably the 2nd or 3rd, as the 1st is my anniversary and barring any acts of God, I'll be busy. ;D
*The main engine WILL be Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 on the XBox 360.
*Formulas will NOT be mandatory. The only people that will have to submit formulas are the people that are making their characters on other systems.
*The starting stat limit WILL be pretty low. The reason for this is twofold: 1, there are no damage sliders this year for regular moves, and 2, the in-game WWE characters are so overpowered that you can literally finish a match with 4 grapple moves, a trademark (or whatever they're called) move and a finisher. It doesn't help that a trademark maneuver leads directly into a finisher.
*Damage on finishing moves MIGHT be lowered on the slider to compensate for this. This is all in the name of preventing 99% of the matches from being squash matches.
*Right now, it's looking like matches will be simmed in the WWE Universe mode, with all in-game wrestlers moved to the WCW fed and all allies & enemies removed. Barring using the belt defense glitch, we might have to have title matches as regular matches and assign the belts afterwards, so that will affect the in-game video of the match entrances and ends. Sorry about that, but we're doing what we can here.
*Character abilities will be restricted according to common sense. Any heavyweight or higher attempting to use the Springboard ability will be denied. Ditto for anyone using the rope dive one unless it's something that makes sense. We will NOT have 6'4" musclebound luchadores here; similarly, we won't have any cruisers chokeslamming everyone. Wrestlers will have to make sense. Similarly, abilities like the Kip Up and any that give a free finisher (or 3, thanks THQ) will be restricted- not banned, but restricted.
*Movesets will be subject to Committee review. We are going to be pretty lenient on what moves everyone picks, mainly sticking to the in-game limits, but if you have a moveset where the grapples are 99% finishing maneuvers, you may be rejected. Please keep this in mind.
*As usual, finishers will be limited to a maximum of 3 different people using them, first come, first served. This could also include created finishers that are too similar- since the stunner isn't in the game, I'm half-expecting a bunch of stunners to be submitted- but we'll see how things go.
*Unless there is a new version of the paint tool hack, most paint tool textures will be restricted to characters that get traded in online. Since paint tool textures are tradeable, that's how that'll go. I'm not going to take 8 years remaking someone's intricate patterns for a wrestler and then have them split in a week. Sorry, no can do. Please plan accordingly.
*As of this moment, female wrestlers will not be able to wrestle/fight male wrestlers. This COULD change in the near future; it all depends on what the save hackers can do this year.
*All belts will be stripped and put up for tournament over the first handful of events. On the off chance that a previous champion wins his belt, this will naturally count as a continuation of his previous reign in the records. A list of titles and which belt represents which OCW title will be forthcoming.
*We WILL be using the in-game stamina system.
*ON the off chance that we ever have a ladder match that has 4 or more wrestlers- and that's doubtful as the matches run so long- the stamina slider will be set to the lowest setting and finisher and weapon damage will be turned up to maximum. This is an attempt to decrease the match time, so just be aware, if your wrestler is in one of these, the settings will be different to ensure a more dynamic, less lengthy match.
*If things go the way I'm thinking they might, we may very well have a more internationally diverse group of players. That said, whereas before we were somewhat harsh on our more grammatically incorrect members, this time around we're going to be a bit more lenient, but will also be trying to help out our international, less English-inclined brethren.
*We WILL be kicking off with a storyline right off the bat that people can get in on if they want to. At least, that's the current plan- it depends somewhat on how many people join and exactly who they might be.
I think that's about it for now. I'll list anything else that comes up, and if anyone has any questions, please feel free to drop me a line here.
