Here's how we're rollin' this year. Some of this has been posted previously; I'm trying to get everything organized into one CAW guideline thread.
* The simming engine is Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 on the XBox 360.
* Female wrestlers CAN be used.
* IF YOU DON'T MORPH YOUR CHARACTER'S FACE SOME OR AT LEAST CHOOSE A DIFFERENT FACE TEMPLATE OTHER THAN TEMPLATE 1 AND YOU AREN'T WEARING SOME SERIOUS FACEPAINT OR A MASK, YOUR WRESTLER WILL BE REJECTED UNTIL YOU CAN GIVE HIM A FACE. This is due to some already serious overuse of the default face. It's just lazy, people.[/b]
* All new hires are limited to 1 wrestler per person. After an evaluation period of a month, this can be increased to 2 wrestlers. This can increase to a maximum of 4 wrestlers throughout the year if the person in question is able to continue promoing for each wrestler continuously (one promo per week required), and can be decreased for the same reasons. Previous members may begin with 2 wrestlers.
* Managers MAY be submitted (until such a time as we are full, if that happens to ever be the case); however, they may not have ANY stats (5 across the board) and will NOT accompany wrestlers to the ring, thanks to the awful manager/referee AI in the game. They may only be used as allies (for in-game run-ins) or for in-show video promos.
* Formulas are NOT mandatory. The only people that will have to submit formulas are the people that are making their characters on other systems.
* For those not in the know, the base stats for everyone begin at 5. They go up by 5 point increments, so anyone that turns in stats that aren't divisible by 5, you'll just get rejected until your stats work. We are using the in-game weight class stat limits.
You get 150 points to divide as you wish amongst the 7 stats. This is enough to raise all stats to 25, with two going up to 30. Stats points may be re-allocated at a rate of 10 points per month.
NOTE: All stats start at 5. You get 150 to allocate. 7 stats x 5 base points = 35, + 150 to allocate = 185 points total. This always equals 29 Overall.
* Character abilities are restricted as follows:
-All wrestlers begin with 3 abilities.
-Hammer Throw may only be selected by Heavyweight weight class and above.
-Kip-Up and Springboard Dives may only be selected by Light Heavyweight and below.
-No wrestler may have Kip-Up and Fired Up at the same time.
-Fired Up counts as 2 abilities towards the 3 ability limit.
* OCW "Common Sense" Clause, Article 1: Wrestlers must be proportionate. Body morphing may be adjusted by OCW simmers to fit in with the rest of the roster if deemed extremely unproportionate, but you will always be contacted and worked with in accordance with this.
* OCW "Common Sense" Clause, Article 2: Movesets using an extreme number of what are traditionally considered finishing maneuvers will be rejected until the moveset is amended by the owner of that character. This is at the discretion of the OCW Committee and is in effect to ensure that there is a level playing field, as well as preventing everyone from having the same moveset full of moves that were, 2 games ago, considered finishers.
OCW is about competitive CAW creation, but it is also about creating characters that have personality, both throughout their promos, looks AND moveset. Throwing every finisher in the game on a character is not creative; it's just trying to win at all costs, and will not be tolerated. Create your character based on who they should be, not on "ME MONSTER HULK WIN!"
* OCW "Common Sense" Clause, Article 3: Keep the moves proportional as well. No 6' fat-ass luchadores; similarly, no cruiserweights chokeslamming everyone. This includes female wrestlers, but only to a point, as you really can't make monster chicks in the game, so they will be judged somewhat less leniently.
* PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL MOVES IN THE GAME THAT MUST BE UNLOCKED BY UNLOCKING IN-GAME CHARACTERS. Yes, several moves are still missing, but if you have everyone unlocked, there are SEVERAL moves that unlock with the characters, so no one needs to create, for instance, a stone cold stunner or the rock bottom.
* OCW "Common Sense" Clause, Article 4: Created finishers must have no more than 3 "impacts." By this we mean a move that in and of itself could be considered a "move" (backbreaker, sidebreaker, forceful punch/melee move- NOT REGULAR KICKS AND PUNCHES), even though the game allows you to still transition to another clutch afterwards. This is done both for the sanity of the simmer and, on the off chance that damage is calculated on a "per impact" basis, from making any single move more intensely devastating than another.
* Wrestlers CAN use created finishers for both finishers this year. There's 150 slots, so why the hell not, right?
* As usual, finishers will be limited to a maximum of 3 different people using them, first come, first served. This is to prevent having a fed where half of the roster uses the same finisher. This includes similar-looking moves, a.k.a. the stunner and a created stunner, etc.
* Paint tool layers must be uploaded with their respective wrestler; additionally, anyone wishing to use a custom-made sign utilizing the paint tool must at the very least provide an uploaded paint tool pattern to be used. This rule is in effect until there is an SvR 2011 paint tool hack.
* The Worm is now available as a ground signature move or finisher.
* You may now change your wrestler's 2 'pull back' moves to ANY FRONT OR BACK GRAPPLE from the SIGNATURE OR LOWER LISTS. NO FINISHERS.
* You may now change your wrestler's 2 rebound rgapples to ANY FRONT GRAPPLE FROM THE GROGGY OR LOWER LISTS. NO SIGNATURES OR FINISHERS.
I think that covers everything. Any questions or notable omissions, please let me know here. Feel free to notify me if your wrestler is available online, but please make certain that they conform to the rules above, or if they don't, that you provide a partial formula to make them conform to the above. Thank you.
