In some corner in the OCW locker room a radio is tuned to Beyond The Mat Radio.
Radio DJ: Welcome back to Beyond the mat radio. For those who are just tuning in I'm The Slam Master Rodney. Today we have a special guest for ya. Sitting here in the studio with me today is a former OCW World Champion who made his return to the OCW at Backwoods Ass Kicking. Ladies and gentlemen Bandit Eric Wilson. Welcome to the show Bandit.
Bandit: Thanks Rodney it's good to be here. And you can call me Eric
S.M. Rodney Great. So Eric Backwoods Ass Kicking was a huge night for you for many reasons wasn't it?
Bandit: Really huge night Rodney. It was something I've been waiting to do for years. Not just wanted to do but needed to do.
S.M. Rodney For those of you out there who don't know Eric has been out an OCW ring for many years due to injuries and personal problems that have plagued his career...Would you care to elaborate on what's been going on since the last time you stepped foot in an OCW ring.
Bandit: Well for starters the reason I left was due to several injuries i had been working through. I kept telling myself I was fine but deep down I knew I was hurt. I figured if I could keep working through them and try to be careful I'd be fine and it wasn't to serious.
S.M. Rodney But it was serious wasn't it?
Bandit: Extremely serious...Paused for a second while thinking about it. I remember seeing my doctor one day and sitting there waiting on some test results thinking the doctor was going to come in and give me some med for the pain and tell me to take it easy for a bit. But when he came back in I could tell by the look on his face it was serious. He told me my injuries were so severe that he was surprised I was still able to get up in the mornings much less walk.
S.M. RodneyOh wow that must've been a shock.
Bandit: You couldn't even imagine. He told me if i kept wrestling that I would literally be risking my life every single time I stepped out on that stage. And that at some point I wouldn't leave unless I was carried out on a stretcher. I was shocked and devastated.
S.M. Rodney I'm Sorry Eric. But look at you now. You look to be in great shape.
Bandit:I feel great. It's been a long hard road to get back to where i am today. I've had surgeries and lots of rehab. But after all this time the Doc finally says I'm good to go.
S.M. Rodney Great to hear. OK so let me set the stage. January 9th 2011 Backwoods Ass Kicking. You're standing there. Kunk The Sphere Clown already in the ring. The Hell In A Cell hanging above the . New Divide by Linkin Park hits The light are out and the pyro goes off as the light come on and the crowd goes ape shit when you turn around and they see that it is none other than "The Bandit" Eric Wilson making his return to OCW. What was going through you're head hearing that and seeing those fans cheering for you.
Bandit: I really don't know how to describe it. The adrenaline was pumping and I knew it was time to got out there and give my all and try not to disappoint everyone in that arena or myself.
S.M. Rodney I don't think anyone was disappointed. But looks like we have an E-Mail from an adidaskain. adidaskain asks what your thoughts on Kunks promo from the other day Especially the part about getting lucky?
Bandit: Well to be honest I don't know what to think about it. I mean Kunk is a great wrestler and I have much respect for him. He was the first EVER OCW World Champion. But that promo was kinda all over the place.
I may be wrong but it kinda sounded like he thinks I won by luck. Now I went for the Streaking Salami Lunge and he reversed it into a powerbomb. He went for a double and I reversed into a face buster. Then in the end I whipped him to the ropes and on the rebound I locked him in the crossface and he tapped out. It may be luck when you win by knocking someone out or sometimes getting a pin but when you tap out when locked in a submission I don't know if I would necessarily call that luck.
S.M. Rodney Great now you're second opponent was Teabag in a table match. That one didn't go quite as good as the first match.
Bandit: No Rodney it didn't. But I give props to Teabag. We had a great match and he came out on top. What more can i say he's another great OCW Legend.
S.M. Rodney I agree 100%. Well we're about out of time here is there anything you would like to add before we go Eric?
Bandit: Sure I just want to throw a shout out to the New OCW Champion Riley Taylor. Congratulations man and good luck. You really showed what you had out there and in the in you won the biggest prize in the business...well aside from the bosses daughter...lol
Both men laugh.
S.M. Rodney That was a good one. Well Eric it was great having you on the show and good luck in the future.
OOC:Sorry didn't realize how long this was till I was done.
