Okay, just now finally getting around to figuring out where to put up my action figures on display after getting a Marvel Universe Galactus, so I'll endeavor to update this as I get displays done. First up, my Marvel Universe diorama or whatever you wanna call it. I have 11 more figures coming in the mail in the next week to week and a half, so this'll get updated, naturally. LOL Anyone else wants to post their collections, hell, feel free! The entire Galactus diorama Left to right: Silver Surfer (HADOUKEN! LOL), Captain Marvel, & the Sentry Another detail of the Surfer Colossus!!! The Hulk! (World War Hulk version) The Hulk & Thor Upper Galactus detail, l to r: Iron Man, the Iron Spider, Galactus, Spider-Man, & Spider-Woman Iron Man, ready to let loose a repulsor shot The Iron Spider, getting ready to strike Galactus ponders (crushing) Spider-Man Spider-Woman climbing up from below Thor's point of view Colossus, getting ready to punch big G in the ankle Another shot of the upper Galactus bit Galactus face detail ...and I just realized that I hadn't ever finished painting my Archangel variant's wings or put him in the display. The original had shitty flat grey wings: ...I played around and finally found a combination of layers, drybrushing and washing that got close enough to the effect I wanted- some dirty, dirty silver wings for our Horseman of Apocalypse "Death" Archangel here. The next shelf down- DC Universe, Spawn, and (mostly) Legendary Comic Book Heroes figs. Left to right, top to bottom- Kid Flash, Blue Beetle, Overtkill, Booster Gold, Ripclaw, the Savage Dragon, Star, Madman; Overtkill, Booster Gold, Ripclaw, the Savage Dragon, Star, Madman, Pitt (and his middle finger), Firestorm, part of Superpatriot; The Savage Dragon/Star/Madman, Pitt, Firestorm, and Superpatriot (regular & unmasked variant) Close-Up of Kid Flash, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, & Ripclaw sort'a Ripclaw (from Cyberforce) having issues Madman chillaxin' Star- one of my fav guys from the Dragon universe. Basically Spider-Man, but instead of webs and spider powers, he's just bouncy and fires shuriken from wrist-mounted launchers. The cool shit is, he's completely unsupported in this pose. The base under Dragon and one of his feet had a small pit with a slanted bottom that his right foot fit right into perfectly, and he's been standing solidly ever since, despite the precarious posture. W()()T Dragon & Star- interesting note, Dragon has the most articulated hands of any action figure ever, with 2 joints in each finger and 1 in the thumb. He can ACTUALLY make a fist. Pitt shootin' them double birds FIRESTORM IS THE FUCKIN' MAN! Superpatriot, another fav from the Dragon universe. Originally a Superman-type hero, he gets mostly eaten (including part of his face), his remains enhanced with funky Terminator T-1000-style tech and reanimated and brainwashed, and eventually snaps free of the brainwashing. Like a patriotic Punisher, but his body IS the weapon. Next shelf down: Marvel Icon figures of the Avengers, plus a rotoscoped Hulk for good measure! And all of the Super Hero Squad versions of them I have. L to R: Thor, Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America Next shelf down: darker Marvel shit. Left to right: The Incredible Hulk, Marvel Zombies Hulk, Marvel Zombies Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies Colonel America, Vengeance, Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze), Ghost Rider (Dan Ketch), Vengeance (movie concept version), and in there somewhere, Super Hero Squad Ghost Rider Hulk like to watch. ICK Zombie Hulk think Zombie Spidey's leg finger-lickin' good! Colonel America and a handful of guts. Again with the ick. Group shot of the Ghost Riders Vengeance Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)- I know, shitty pic, didn't realize it was out of focus Ghost Rider (Dan Ketch) sort'a stuck behind Vengeance Vengeance (movie collection version) Super Hero Squad Ghost Rider. AWWWW he's so CUTE!!! Chupa, his male goat life partner Juan and Kunk in the customized OCW ring! Chupa wif belt Kunk wif belt and big-ass sword Detail shot of the ring showing one of three customized aprons- yeah, I know it's too small, fucking printer More pics, mostly the same figs, from their previous display before we moved to SC: Oh, and this year's mantle decoration, if I forgot to post it here before. ...and Hulk guarding baby Jesus. lol More when the dozen figures on order get here. HEE HEE!!!

Okay- got some new acquisitions over the weekend out of town, but haven't taken any pics yet. Snagged Spider-Man series Hobgoblin (I'm too cheap for the expensive-as-shit-but-cooler-as-hell Marvel U one), Spider-Man series shitty repainted Rhino (gonna repaint him), got my Moon Knight in the mail (SO PIMP), got my 2 2-packs (Captain America, Wolverine (brown & tan), Dark Wolverine, & Dark Spider-Man), and a Target exclusive Iron Man/Punisher 2-pack. Got the 2-pack specifically for the Punisher. The figure was nice, except for the head- the head looks like Jay Leno with it's massively oversized jaw, and it's wearing this God-awful headband, but they had a DC Universe Black Adam figure on the peg above it, whose head was a dead ringer for an elven-eared Frank Castle. It was on clearance (which was good because the figure is SO shitty and they normally go for $8), so I snagged that, brought it home, chopped the ears, painted the hair around the ears a little better, matched the neck paint, BOOM- the fuckin' PUNISHER!!!

Finally got my other Marvel U figs yesterday, bringing the total to (I believe) 25. Started futzing with the display and woke up this morning and Spider-Man and Dark Spider-Man had both fallen off of Galactus, so I'm gonna redo the display from the ground up.
Constrictor has to be one of the coolest Marvel U figs ever. Great paint job (except for some sloppy work on his jaw), and if I ever find a good base, I'll have to cast his arm tentacles to make an Omega Red.
Pics when I get the display set up. Sometime. lol

Okay, here we go! First, the display at large. I know, it's fucking busy as hell, but I have limited room. Gonna have to clear off some more shelves... Captain America, Captain Marvel & Ant-Man vs. Hulk: Aww ain't he cute!!! Colossus vs. Juggernaut: Constrictor vs. Ghost Rider & Punisher: Galactus vs. "Death" Archangel, Iron Spider & Spider-Woman: Dark Hawkeye (Bullseye) vs. Moon Knight: Hobgoblin vs. Yellowjacket- yeah, I know, I didn't get a front pic of Yellowjacket: Iron Man vs. Iron Man, sort'a- eventually I'm going to paint the Iron Man on top in Iron Patriot colors, just to do the Dark Avengers thing: Red Hulk vs. Rhino: The Sentry pounding the shit out of Thor: Dark Spider-Man (Venom) vs. Spider-Man: Hey look, I found a use for that shitty Surfer figure! THANOS FODDER! Dark Wolverine (Daken, Wolverine's son) vs. Wolverine: w00t!

Ok, quick code for the Joe stuff; PoC - Pursuit of Cobra , this is the newest stuff, and IMO some of the absolute best! **Sub Sections of PoC are: Jungle Assualt (JA), Arctic Threat (AT), Desert Battle (DB), and City Strike (CS), which is the best of the best IMO!! RoC - Rise of Cobra , based off the movie, some decent stuff 25th - 25th anniversary of GI Joe Here's the crap on my walls, for now I won't go into detail until I get some better pics; The wall above the bed: And the wall over my desk, though it looks a lil different now as you'll soon see: That's most of my in package stuff, though there are a few things in my closet in the other room that I haven't yet pulled out, or had out and needed to put away due to lack of space. Now for some Marvel Universe! Fucking bastard Chupa just had to tempt my tastebuds...then Juggy comes along and bam...fuckers... Yep, Spidey's about to get kerfucked as Sentry looks on in horror! From left to right we have from the 2 pack comics; Sentry, Dark Wolverine (Draken), Dark Spidey (Venom), and Spidey; then singles Juggernaut, and up top singles Green Goblin and Hobgoblin; all Marvel Universe (yep, I coughed up dough for the real deal Hobby, take that Chups ;P ) Side by side Gobby and Hobby; And now the Joe shit. I'll start with vehicles then move to figures. And keep in mind, everything you are about to see I just started collecting roughly 7 months ago. PoC JA VAMP with driver Double Clutch: PoC DB HISS with driver Cobra HISS Tank Driver (not seen): RoC Sting Raider with drivers/gunners Copperhead and Swamp-Viper (not seen): and RoC Dragonfly with driver Wild Bill (barely seen): Now the hard stuff; Group shot: Left side: OK, from front to back, left to right, we have; PoC DB Snake Eyes with Timber, PoC JA Spirit, PoC JA Shadow Tracker, PoC DB Storm Shadow, PoC DB Zartan, PoC JA Duke, PoC AT Destro, PoC JA Snake Eyes, PoC JA Jungle Viper, PoC AT Snow Job, part of PoC DB Duke, and in far back, PoC JA Recondo. The second shot is a close up of the PoC DB v2 Snake Eyes that I snagged after the first pics were taken. Now, the right side; Same as before, front/back left/right; PoC DB Dusty, PoC CS Beachhead, DTC/TRU exclusive Monkeywrench, 25th Buzzer, 25th 2-pack Torch, PoC vehicle Doom Cycle with Storm Rider driver, 25th Hall of Heroes Zartan, 25th 2-pack Ripper, and Spy Troops Burn Out. And the piece de' resistance - The Cobra Nation! Left side; PoC CS vehicle Fury with Alley-Viper Officer in the inside hatch, with PoC CS Alley-Viper x4, with PoC CS Destro, RoC Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow barely visible behind the door, and a PoC CS Firefly with armored helm on in back. Close up of that sexy Destro; Now the middle; RoC vehicle Steel Crusher with driver Nitro-Viper, PoC "Chase Figure" Cobra Commander, and in the back you can see Firefly's two 'lackies' as I made them, the PoC CS Fireflys with the armored helm. On the left is another small glimpse of the RoC PP Storm Shadow, and the sweet sweet PoC CS Destro. And finally, the right side; Another PoC CS vehicle Fury with the Alley-Viper Commander driver, this time in the turret seat, PoC CS Alley-Vipers x2, the PoC CS Firefly with normal head, and behind him, the amazingly cool PoC CS Shock Trooper x2. Speaking of the Shock Troopers, which are basically cobra's version of a riot squad, here's a close up of them as well as normal Firefly; And last but not least, my swords (a full set of authentic Samurai 3000), along with the BaF PITT and a Beast Wars Silverbolt. And thats it for most of my stuff. A note on the Joe stuff, for the PoC line, out of 4 waves of figures, the last of which isn't in full retail yet, I have every figure barring the CS Quick Kick which I don't care much for, the AT Storm Shadow, which I'm not sure how I feel about yet, the JA Skydive, which again, I'm sorta iffy on, and the CS Low Light, which is amazing, but hard as fuck to find, even in online stores. I also want to pick up another CS Destro or two because he comes with a suit case of money that looks amazing, and I'll have to add a photo of later. If anyone is a Joe addict, or just curious, check out generalsjoes.com/g-i-joe-pursuit-of-cobra-review-page/ for some better info and cool reviews. It has the RoC, PoC, 25th and other stuff covered pretty well, plus you'll get better looks at some of the figures. Another good joe site is www.yojoe.com , though it's not fully been updated with the PoC stuff, but still an awesome resource site.

aand as luck would have it, I run out to wallies to snag some minor things and hit up the toys, and out of pure luck, they had just restocked, so I snagged me a PoC CS Low Light, the last figure I had any interest in at all!
So now on the Joe front, aside from the only 3 figures remaining in the PoC line, which I have no real interest in, and finishing my army of Shock Troopers which is no rush, I am finished on the Joe side.
As far as the Marvel side, there are still a good few I have interest in, but with as much cash as I've dropped lately, including 60 bucks on ebay for a 2005 DTC R.H.I.N.O. that RAWKS, I need to ease back abit and rest before doing anymore major hits.
Pics of Low Light coming tomorrow, and the R.H.I.N.O. will be roughly next week depending on the mail. w00t, feels good. Now to work on a nice city dio and knock out some action shots!

AAaaand a very late update, funny how 'in the morning' can turn into days. Luckily it allowed me time for my other toy that I had ordered off ebay to arrive, so I snagged pics of it too. First up here's the case-o-cash that comes with Destro. The pics are a lil blurry, hard to get a close up pic of something so little, but it works. The case is half solid block of cash that isn't removable, the other half is a set of 6 blocks each of american and euro bills. It was so awesome I ended up snagging a second Destro just to have two cases lol. The last pic I snagged off of generalsjoes.com just so there would be a clear upclose view. Next up is PoC CS Low Light. And last is the 'other' toy I had ordered. I've been kinda obsessed with the whole City Strike subset of the Pursuit of Cobra line, and the Shock Troopers made me desire a heavy style troop carrier for deployment. Figured it would never happen till I ran across a vehicle on YoJoe randomly one day. Enter the R.H.I.N.O. This beast is BIG, atleast from my experience with Joe vehicles. It comes in two stages, the main solo rig and a 2-man helicopter, but what makes it awesome is the heli is actually part of the main rig, and has a raise up function. It can hold 10 figures at one time and just looks freaking sweet. The version I got was a DTC, or direct to consumer, version. It was only availible for a short period of time from a website that you had to be a member of, and very very briefly at TRU I believe. Now the reason I snagged the DTC version was the color combo of black/grey/greyish-purplish as opposed to the grey/bluish colors of the new RoC version. Which leads to my only complaint. Being a DTC version, the vehicle comes pre-stickered, and since I wanted this for a Cobra vehicle, it meant it already had the Joe symbols on it. Not too big an issue, just meant I'd have to peel off the stickers and deal with cleaning a lil 5-yr old tackiness. Wrong, everything is a sticker except the GIJOE logos, those fuckers a painted on. In the end I'll make it work though, I'll just go with the idea that Cobra stole it from the Joes and order some Cobra decals from an online site and plaster 'em over the Joe logo for a 'we took your shit and defaced your logo' look. But anyway, enough yammerin', on to the pics; For the last two pics, I wanted to show it's size, so I placed the PoC CS Destro beside in, and put 'em on my printer. Now I just need to get into diorama making and craft a kick ass city scene for all my stuff to display in

Ain't really had time to do much of anything OCW-related in the last week, but I DID get a regular Spidey series Rhino (cheaper than repainting the fucker) AND I have spent the last 3 days making a Venom head cast from Ben's Spidey-series (a.k.a. massively unarticulated) Venom. I'll be using this head as an alternate for the Dark Spider-Man figure, which looks dead-up like a classic Venom, and if everything works out with this, I might also be casting a partial head so I can make a Dark Spider-Man head that's sort'a half and half, as in the Sinister Spider-Man comic series- one with a closed mouth.

Well, that almost worked- unfortunately, pulling the original head out of the mold ruined the mold, as it stuck to itself, and thanks to some air bubbles I ended up with a Venom head top with my lower jaw, and the tongue broke off.
So in theory, totally doable, just have to figure out a way to remove the original head without all the issues.

And of course I swear off buying and what do I do, I do a store run and drop about 50 bucks right off...damn.
TRU netted me a Marvel Universe Dark Hawkeye single.
The Walmart at Valley View (That's walmart #2 of 4 in the Roanoke area) snagged me a comic 2-pack Marvel Universe Black Suit Spidey + Magneto. I almost snagged the comic 2-pack of Thor and Enchantress as the Thor has an old school face and not the mashed asian face of today, but at 15 bucks a pop, I stopped myself, and almost picked up the DCU Black Adam just incase I ever found a Punisher to do Chups awesome head swap, but with my luck, I figured I'd never find the Punisher so skipped it,
Which led to Target, and me snagged the Target Exclusive 2 packs of Old School Iron Man and Black Panther as well as the newerish Iron Man with .... you guessed it, Jay Leno Punisher...and I passed on the fucking Black Adam ... bastards.
Pics forthcoming as usual.

If you do the Punisher thing, you'll also need some flesh colored paimt, available at any hobby store. The neck skin tone and the Black Adam head really, really don't match.
I used a hobby knife to clip the elf ears on the head, but you could also probably use fingernail clippers and get the exact same effect.

No pics yet, but redoing my display soon; got the Wrecker and all the Secret War 2-packs that had members of the Wrecking Crew, and today picked up the 4-figure first wave of Captain America figures. They have some REALLY weird articulation- more like somewhat more advanced Spider-Man series figs- and some of the paint is off; the figures are mostly cast in dark blue plastic and lighter colors (like flesh and white) painted over, and if you look close sometimes it's not flattering, but it's mostly fixable.
Wave 1 consists of all-comics figures. That's right: there is no movie outfit Captain America in the Captain America series. Wave 1 is: Captain America (regular comics version)- good sculpt but the head is a little too 'meaty'. The plastic he's cast in is a dark, dark blue, and the figure is in dire need of a wash application as there is no shading. The shield, however, is the best one ever, with a nice metallic sheen and a peg so it can be worn on the back. However, the arms and legs have less articulation than most Marvel U figs. Part I really love is the back of the packaging, where they declare Cap's love for weapons, especially the goofy rocket launcher he comes with. Even though after WWII Cap abhors guns.
Captain America (World War II Ultimate Cap)- Great fucking figure. Comes with the classic 'liberty' shield, a machinegun and removeable helmet (w00t!!!) and a pistol, as well as gear straps containing a pistol holster. This one is about the most articulated of the bunch, with everything except the joints connecting the legs to the waists as more or less Marvel U standard. Also cast in a dark dark blue, but looks so good I don't care. Great paint, but could still use a wash to achieve some depth.
Ultimate Captain America- Pretty damned accurate to the comics and looks really good, except for the meaty head (looks like regular Cap with the wings sanded off) and the blue is a touch too... different. It's aquamarine, almost a teal. Still, looks great. Articulation is the same as regular Cap, but the leg-waist joints are much more poseable. The problem comes with the shitty shield; it has blades that you can push out and it splits in half, which is a WTF in and of itself, but it's so heavy and bulky that the figure can't stand up with it. Additionally, in what I hope is just a production glitch, I got the same two halves, so the star in the center isn't a star, looking more like a funky Star of David. Great figure though.
Winter Soldier- Hawt DAMN! The Marvel U version is more articulated, but looks like shit as far as the sculpt, which is where these figures all excel- the sculpts are GREAT. This one's head and robotic arm sculpts kick the Marvel U version in the crotch- just an excellent figure. However, the articulation is weird, basically the same as regular Cap but with rotating wrists, but the wrists are set on the arms at a strange angle. Comes with a Dragunov-style sniper rifle, a mauser pistol (which settles into a holster on the leg), and a backpack/suitcase that converts into a dope little jetpack.
One other little issue with the WWII Cap and Winter Soldier- their non-shield weapons are made of a very flexible plastic that basically ensures that they'll look like bent-up shit. Sure, you can bend them back into shape under some hot water, but the Soldier's Dragunov will never look right, period.
There are a couple of deluxe figures but one is regular Cap with some stupid flying thing and one is a red-vested one, so fuck those. There are also a couple of jeeps that are exactly the same except for the back-mounted weaponry and I'm pretty sure they (and the bendable weaponry with the regular figs) are recycled G.I. Joe vehicles.
Wave 2 figs (with a lot more variety) are available from hasbrotoyshop.com, but I wouldn't do it as the paint apps can be pretty bad. Out of 3 regular Caps I saw, I ended up with one with a decent head paintjob but a shitty splash of red on a boot, but the other two had horrendous facial paintjobs.
Pics later, but great stufff- not perfect, but damn good compared to the Thor figs, LOL.

Man, I am so far behind on pics and updating, Im honestly not sure where I left off lmao. Lets see if I can update; Joes: RoC Agent Helix 25th Comic 2-packs: Destro & Iron Grenadier Cobra Commander & Tripwire Tunnel Rat & Storm Shadow PoC Iron Grenadier x2 PoC Croc Master PoC Temple Guardian Snake Eyes PoC Shock Trooper x3 (grand total of 8 now, damn army builders) RoC Lava Pod w/ Volcano Viper RoC Cobra Gunship w/ Firefly 25th DVD Pack: Lady Jaye, Roadblock, Destro + Weather Dominator device and a pieve of the M.A.S.S. device .... I think thats it for joes... Marvel U: Singles Red Hulk Walmart Exclusive Savage Frost Giant w/ Loki (as cool as Loki is, with the SFG standing in at a lil over a foot, that bitch is pimp!) And I think this is all my hauls as of late. So now the only thing left that I have any interest or immediate desire in is a MU Apocalypse, but aside from that, I need to take a break before Mikey kills me lol. Oh, and I need the Capt America wave two figures of Crossbones and Red Skull

Reworking my Marvel U display, ended up needing some props- needed something for some of the guys in the back to stand on so they don't disappear in the back. Well, I was looking around for something and found these crates that used to house these tiny Marvel models called Figure Factory. Realized the sculpt on the crates was pretty awesome, so I applied several layers of homemade black wash. Here's some before and afters: Turned out pretty damned good! Also started working on hanging up the flyers and such to conserve bookshelf space, mostly just hooks painted black to blend with the bookshelf behind it, but for Spider-Man, I really wanted some sort of web. So I took 5 laminated twist ties and stripped off the lamination, twisted them into a frame, hot glued the shit out of it, painted it white and washed it with the same black wash. The result: Also applied the same wash to the regular Captain America figure from Wave 1 of the Cap movie figs. Looks a lot better- now you can actually see some of the detailing. I'll post pics later.

Update:
Snagged another PoC Iron Grenadier, and did something I normally do not do, I swapped.
Took my extra PoC CS Destro, traded the armor with it and the IG for a different look, took the now almost all grey body with th IG head to act as a commander, and used the all red body with a head swap of my 25th Scrap-Iron. Nothing major, but made a cool look for the IG and an awesome update for SI. Felt weird as I normally refused to alter figs unless I own 2, but the SI head just looked so right on the body lol.
Also snagged some Marvel Universe stuff;
Singles Mystique Comic 2-Pack: First Class: Cyclops & Marvel Girl Wolverine & Sabertooth
Uber glad on the Sabertooth find, been wanting him since I heard of the 2-pack, and that I had missed out on the Marvel Origins one, but glad that this one looks much better IMO. There were two packs on the shelf, one the Wolverine had some paint marks, the other Saber did, so I took the one with the bad Wolvie cause I wanted Saber more. Still trying to locate a Deadpool/Taskmaster 2-pack and an Apocalypse from the MU line, Red Skull and Crossbones from CA, and Gambit from Wolverine Origins, but that one is not cheap on ebay, ugh.

Saw the Wolverine/Sabretooth 2-pack for the first time, and there were plenty of them, but I just can't justify to myself paying $18 + tax basically for 1 Sabretooth figure. I already have a Wolverine and this new figure, while nice, just isn't worth it.
Saw the entire Captain America 2 wave. After experiencing some significant buyer's remorse over purchasing the first wave, I just didn't even bother- the articulation on the figures just isn't as good as the Marvel U figs, and on the majority of the set, the paints are just flat- no wash, no shine, nothing. It's sort of sad. Additionally, for some reason, all of the Cap figures are like a head shorter than the majority of the Marvel U figures, which just makes them look like shit. Still, some notes:
-Super Combat Cap- which looks to be movie cap, even if the bottom part of the front of the mask is too long- looks nice, but again, flat paints really kill the figure overall. Removable helmet is nice though.
-Heroic Age Cap- this one is the new "Bucky" cap, the guy that replaced Cap while he was dead for a couple of years. This figure is PIMP. Crisp, shiny paints and an excellent sculpt make this one of the three figures in the set I would definitely buy if the articulation was Marvel U-style.
-Captain Britain- this is one pimped-out version of the Marvel U mainstay; exactly what I'd expect to see if he was in the Cap movie, or his own movie, or whatever. LOVE this figure. Again, crisp, shiny paints make this a must-have- IF it wasn't for the articulation. Also comes with the sword Excalibur, although the design on the sword is a little fancy for my tastes.
-U.S. Agent- the only other one in the set I would consider buying. Basically the same sculpt as the Caps, but the paint is nice and it's just a great design.
-Red Skull- this figure looks like shit. A simplistic sculpt makes it look good from a distance, but the moment you look up close, you'll notice that the head has a disturbing lack of detail (this is the RED FREAKIN' SKULL, PEOPLE), and the flat paints just add to a figure that is epically underwhelming. Fucking PASS.
-Crossbones- one of the figures I was most excited about seeing, Crossbones SUCKS. The sculpt is shit; the body is just sort of meh, and the vest he's wearing is very detailed and nice, but as is my main concern with GI Joe figures, without some better paint and a wash, all of the detail means fuck-all- it makes it look like a kid's toy, so it might as well be sculpted like one. The head is WAY too big, the paint job is kind'a crap, and overall the figure looks like 12 pounds of crap packed into a 10-pound girdle. And the guns he comes with are molded in a drab puke green. Fucking come ON. The guy that KILLED CAPTAIN AMERICA gets puke green guns and a shit grey vest. Flat paints add to the mediocrity. I just can't believe that they took such a fan favorite villain and gave him such a crappy, shitty figure; this was the one today, this was the one that I said to myself, if I see this, I'm buying it, no questions, and then I saw the fucker. And again with the scale; this guy should be a good bit bigger, but the Captain America figures overall lose nearly a half inch of size compared to the rest of the Marvel figs. Just what the fuck, man?
Still waiting to find the Deadpool/Taskmaster set, though I might just order it; I'm worried about the paints tho, the current flood of figures has had some serious paintjob issues. Anyway, after buying the first wave of Cap figures and seeing them next to the rest of my Marvel U figs, I gotta say, unless you're a huge huge fan, just don't bother. Though I'm still thinking about snagging Captain Britain, Bucky Cap, and US Agent anyway, for the pimp factor alone. I dunno.

Ditto on updating, as anyone who has me on AIM knows, I've been MIA for a while, school and work are kicking my ass lol. As far as toys go, I've gotten around 83 MU's, counting the 2 or 3 doubles I have, and adding the Spidey/IM/CA lines to MU. Joes are close to the same I think, plus I snagged the Assassin's Creed the Docter and Harlequin figs. Got a bunch of stuff I'm wanting to snag coming up from both Joe and MU lines, and to top it off, I now have found out about 3.75" lines of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat figs... just what I need, more money pits XD www.toyark.com/news/toy-fair-59/toy-fair-2011-jazwares-street-fighter-and-mortal-kombat-3783/www.toyark.com/news/video-game-toy-news-8/jazwares-street-fighter-figures-released-4904/

Been working some trades, getting a 25th anni monkey wrench to go with the 7-pack Dreadnoks I preordered, which should come end of december. Also got a Norman Osborne Iron Patriot variant for only 10 bucks shipped, can't wait for it to arrive. Plus I'm working on making some poor man's flight stands. Bought some Floral Wire (30 pack of 18 in. pieces for a $1) and made a decent lil stand. Beading wire will work too, and I hope to get some soon in silver for the longer stand needs. Using 20 gauge atm, higher stands might need a slightly thicker gauge, but haven't tested yet. Here's a preview, pics lil blurry though;

Did the same wire thing myself in my current setup, though I'm out of room and have to either find a different place to put them or build a diorama or both. Used coat hanger wire painted black, as the bookshelf holding them is black. I'll toss up some pics one of these days, lol.
Also saw the full set of Street Fighter figures and I gotta say, they're terrible. The only one of the bunch that was decent was Sagat; all the rest had serious problems with the sculpt and all had terrible, terrible paint jobs. And the few accessories were atrocious. Ryu & Ken have huge huge pecs that make them look like they had sex changes, El Fuerte's legs are completely fucked up, Seth looks like a gimp from a carnival instead of being a massive bossly beast, Blanka's face is completely fucked up (looks good from the side but not the front), and I can't even remember who else was in the set of 8. Overall, I'd have bought Sagat if he was a single, but as he's paired with Megatits Ken, no frickin' way, lol.
Hopefully the Mortal Kombat figs will be better.

Saw the first of the MK figures today- a 3-pack with "Mortal Kombat Klassics" as the logo. It was robotic Sektor, Cyrax and Smoke. Naturally as they're all just palette swaps of one another, they're all the same figure.
They look to be right at Marvel Universe size and the sculpts look great- EXCEPT for the heads. The details are pretty much right, but the mouthpieces should have more depth- they're rounded off short, giving the appearance of a mask, not the jutting robotic mouth section that everyone knows from MK3/UMK3.
$20, so it's a good price- if they were characters I liked or came with some accessories to distinguish them from one another I'd probably snag them, but as they are I couldn't justify a $20 expenditure. Still, they're MUCH better than the Street Fighter figures, which I noticed haven't apparently sold a single pack. Much better paint, much better sculpts, and unless the plastic is really cheap, much better figures- if I didn't know better, I'd think that Hasbro made them; they look that much like Marvel U figs. Jazwares did a helluva job, and after taking a peek online, I'm looking forward to snagging the MK3-style Scorpion that's in the upcoming lineup.
