Okay fellas, finally cleared off enough space and the show is underway.
I managed to sim roughly half the show tonight. As the very nature of the show means that there will be at least 2 title defenses for each title for each of the first two nights, there's sort of an indeterminate number of matches to run through, but I got a good solid start.
Depending on how the defenses go and junk, I'll probably have Day 1 up within the next week. With the commentary and everything, I just can't really narrow down a day in particular, but I'll be busting through the show as quick as I can without sacrificing quality.
It's already been a helluva show with some surprises- I gotta say, it's turning out great.
We have at least 9 more matches in Day 1, most likely more. More info as it happens. Gotta sleep now, peace guys!

Not really a huge update, but spent the last hour letting the videos from last night render down from just over 100Gb to a more manageable 2.5. Yeah, I think we'll have plenty o' room for the whole shebang, just gotta compress the video periodically.

So, so many matches. LOL.
Okay, we're up to the X-Violence Chance at Immortality matches, so basically, we could have 5 more matches, but the way things've been going, it's probably gonna be closer to 10 or so. lol

For those wondering, we're right at 20 matches total so far, with at least 4 to go in night 1, and when I start tomorrow, it'll be with the United States Championship defense.

Gonna continue the show either in about an hour (if I'm up) or tomorrow. With a minimum of 4 matches left, whichever night I start, I should get done, I would imagine. Then it's editing, posting the first night, and getting on to night 2!

Night 1 is finished. Believe me when I say this is a hell of an event.
Editing will start tomorrow, too tired to futz with it tonight and I'm gonna get the rankings ready for whenever I post it, cuz we need 'em to book night 2 anyway.
Great great stuff, fellas. Can't wait to share!

I've taken the last couple of nights off because I've had some kind of stomach thing that, frankly, has fused my anus into a bloody o-ring of terror. (TMI I know LOL) Probably get back on it either tonight or tomorrow depending on how much I'm running off to the restroom.

false alarm tonight, my wife's blackberry had been fucked for a while and they shipped her a new one, and after installing the transfer software on the computer, it blew out windows vista. Got a shitload of error exceptions and just died.
Fixed it with the install disc, figured it was just a fluke, tried to reinstall the software, this time it took out the hard drive and fucked it so the computer no longer recognized it was even there.
Needless to say I freaked a good bit.
Unplugged the hard drive from the motherboard, plugged it back in to a different slot, it recognized the drive but was still fucked. Repaired it and after over an hour of uninstalling the software (obviously SOMETHING was incredibly fucked up), I'm back to normal.
Granted it means I didn't get crap done tonight, and I have to be up early. Sorry for the continuing delays. Jeez with the serious crapola this week. X(

Okay, here's where I'm at:
My daughter was down all of last week until Friday, so really couldn't get anything of substance done. Friday, we had a friend come down because her husband decided to start fucking a stripper/hooker, so we spent the whole weekend drunk off our asses and helping her sort things out. (And I got to see some EPIC boobs in the deal! HAPPY!!!) They stayed till today, and she had her 4 year old son with her, so it was like a madhouse every night till 8pm (bedtime all around for the kiddies) and drunken shit all night after that.
So I'm recovering from being toasted, and might have the beginnings of some kind of throat thing (weather's got my allergies acting all screwed up, but maybe it's the trace amounts of radiation we're now getting from Japan! YAY!!! lol), so gimme a couple of days to recover and I'll get back on track here, one way or another. Probably just gonna go ahead and sim day 2 and edit the first two days together so all we'll have left will be day 3.
Just lettin' everyone know what's up, and why there have been some massively epic hella delays. It's been a crazy week and a half.

Finally got my damned hard drive back (only took what, a frickin' month) and editing has begun on day 1 in earnest. There's going to be a lot of stuff chopped- not the matches, I mean like, entrances are going to be cut down, celebration cutscenes, that kind of stuff; not completely cut out per se, but shortened- in an attempt to keep the length of this thing under a zillion hours.
More progress as it comes. Been a weird, weird month, but incredibly fun, and that's all that matters, right? LOL

Just so y'all know, night 1 of the OCW finale runs 5 hours and 30+ minutes unedited. Just to let you know about where I am, I'm roughly 1/3rd done with the segmenting.
This doesn't include making some kind of title video bit or any in-show promos, though to be honest I don't know if there'll be many of those. I think most of the promos will be handled in the write-up.
Just lettin' everyone know. It'll get up eventually! lol

Okay, we're officially 2/3rds done with the match editing, having just wrapped the 20th of 30 matches!
Prob is, the 20th match apparently had some SEVERE audio lag issues that I'm going to ATTEMPT to fix. So naturally if the 20th match sounds a little fucked up, I apologize, but I didn't do it!!! LOL

Also figured out the prob. During the entrance to the 20th match, the video froze/lengthened for an extended period of time. Once I chopped out the frozen part and resynched the audio (as best I could- the audio just froze), everything pulled back together, but it took a while to get that one fixed up.
On to 21! lol

Should (active word being that one- SHOULD) have the editing bit done later today. Still considering the promo side of things, really depends on how much I can shorten the event with some creative editing and whether I can come up with anything that would look decent in-game. If not, expect the promo side of the show to come up in the write-up, which honestly is probably the way it'll go.
Even if things completely fuck up, short of an act of God the show should be up and out there by the end of the week. The write-up is already done more or less, the rankings are even done, it's just a matter of editing, commentary, compression for upload and whatever promos need to be written.
That's where we be, folks!

Basic editing is done and the show weighs in now at just over 4 hours. Next I go to work chopping up some of the cutscenes and entrances and doing a few little things I wanna try out, gonna take a day to contemplate show opening & cutscene junk (cuz I at least want to add the big fireworks show opening stuff), and I'll likely at least start doing voiceover work sometime tomorrow. Which, um, means I need to prepare for that so I don't sound like a COMPLETE idiot.

...and on a separate note, as I'm going through and making adjustments here and there, I'm finding more audio out of sync. Not a shitload, but enough to give me that much more to muck with. And the computer crashed and wouldn't recognize my main hard drive again, the same way it happened a while back with Blackberry software. Ergh.
Anyway, going through and checking almost every segment for audio integrity. FOCK.

Okay, taking a break, updating because... well, makes me feel like I'm making progress.
Experimental editing is pretty neat, so I'm applying it to all applicable aspects of the show. Just basically extending the audio clips and mixing them so it's not so herky-jerky, and in the process eliminating some video fades so it has a more crisp, clean, 'live' feel.
Also trimming victory cutscenes and, to a point, entrances- most entrances are full though. Just looks and flows better overall.
About halfway done with this stuff. After this, it'll be time to render out a 'final' version without other bits (show start, in-show promos), which I'll then record and add to create the final product. Then, voiceover work and editing that in.
Caught a few errors that slipped by me before, so this is helping out a ton as far as quality control goes!
Okay, taking a break, so y'know. Peace!

Finished with the editing. Whew.
At this point, without any show open of any sort, it runs just under 4 hours with 30 matches. I have the rough cut rendering right now, which with any luck will be done tomorrow morning, so I can start doing commentary, or adding bits, whatever I end up doing next. LOL.
Gettin' there fellas, gettin' there.
Gonna be gone this weekend from Friday till late Sunday, my goal is to get the first night up before we leave. I hope I hope.

SON... OF... A... BITCH.
Okay, for whatever reason, things just aren't going my way... now my Rock Band mic is cutting out on me. Noticed when I was recording that the volume level kept dropping, listen to it and it's stuttering like a virgin on prom night.
Tested the mic on the 360, working fine. Tried different USB ports, nada. Fucked if I know what's going on, I'm gonna Google around and think and try to figure out what the fuck's going on.
Naturally this has put a kink in the plans to get this out the door before we take off for the weekend. There's 3 hours of commentary recording remaining to be done, but if nothing else, there's next week, if I can get the fucking mic to work right. Just... ARGH.
I mean, it's like a curse. My hard drive goes out and I don't have room to properly muck with it. I get the drive back and my wife's Blackberry software fucks the hard drive. Two nights ago I accidentally kicked the computer case and once again, the comp stopped recognizing the hard drive till I went in and changed the SATA port it was plugged into (starting to wonder if my motherboard is just bad), and now this! Holy sheep, Batman!
Okay guys, I'll update when there's something to update- just FOCK.

But on another note, next week is Ben's spring break, which is why we're leaving for the weekend, to take him up north to stay with his grandparents, so if I can get things working right, I'll definitely have plenty of time to belt out the last few remaining tidbits.
Sorry for the massive, massive delays. Just... FOCK. lol

Yeah, I'm a slacker.
Sorry but some things have come up- actually seems like they're popping up pretty regularly now, and between responsibilities and a whole host of other things going on, I'm just going to render out the show as is (without commentary) and get it uploaded sometime in the next week, because it's insane late.
Still trying to decide exactly what to do about the other two proposed nights of the show. I've had a lot of trouble getting motivated enough to do things as they were proposed, so I dunno quite yet. I'll figure it and get back to everyone soon.
Sorry for the lack of, well, everything. Things just went haywire, then other things took priority, add in lack of just wanting to do it, and it's a pathetic mess at the moment. Peace out, fellas.

Okay fellas, I'll hopefully get the show up sometime this week (have to find some time where I can leave it running for four and a half hours and then still be awake to stop the recording). I think we're gonna call this the end of the road for now. The other two nights- it was a good idea in theory, but would've taken forever and more effort than I can put into it right now.
SPOILERS FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO KNOW WHAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sometime during the second night, it would've been revealed that the mysterious Overdrive General Manager was a tag team of the Puppets. Their GM's Choice match selection was Zero for the World Championship.
Rick Slade's GM's Choice match was going to be Pain for the World Championship.
At the end of the show, Vince McMahon comes out and makes the announcement that WWE stage set pieces and graphics packages were sold to OCW in an illegal manner and that, in order to simplify things, instead of wasting money on lengthy court battles, he's buying OCW and the final third night would be OCW's last, and would be a series of matches between OCW talent and WWE talent, mostly OCW vs. Smackdown vs. Raw supercards involving parallel championships.
That was the plan, before life got in the way and I ain't gonna lie, I just got tired. Running shows is great while you're doing it but sometimes you just dread it, especially when it's a huge show. I know it's a dick move and I'm sorry about that, but as it's been over 2 months, I'm just gonna pop up the show as soon as I can let the comp run uninterrupted for a handful of hours and let that be the last night- for all intents and purposes, we done went broke!!! lol.
Peace fellas, and thanks.

Cool sounds like the WCW invasion angle a little bit. If I had time I would try to take OCW over and run it myself just to see if OCW could bury WWE. May do it anyways in my own universe whenever I can get the current saves.
