Hey folks!
Yeah, that's right- I'm bringing back OCW! At least, hopefully. Here's what I'm thinking.
I miss the whole shebang- you guys, the characters, the competition, all of it. I want to get something off the ground. I can't say how often we'll have shows or any of that jazz- I really just don't know at this point, but definitely at least once a month, more if interest grows, you know how it goes.
I'm wanting to get in some new folks, but naturally as many alumni as possible.
No requirements on promos. How will that work? Well, if you don't post promos, you probably won't be looking at a lot of title runs or anything, but your character will still be eligible to wrestle, and will do so pretty much right up until we just don't have room anymore. (I'm really not expecting to reach the CAW cap.) If it gets to the point that we actually reach the cap, we'll figure out some rules regarding active members vs. inactive at that point.
Here's the details, far as I have them thought out.
We'll be running on WWE 2k17, with a hard 2 character limit. 3 characters absolute max, only available for folks with consistent promos. (This isn't a punishment; hell, I don't know if I'll even be eligible for 3.)
Promos required for title holder eligibility down the line. Right now, not so much, but if you wanna write, feel free!
We'll definitely have some kind'a capacity for in-show promos, even if it's just voice over a static image of the character.
Definitely some commentary too. Probably just me yelling about shit.
Some kind'a stat limits, still working on all of that noise.
Naturally it'll be the same jazz as before- all computer-controlled wrasslin'.
No managers or gals at the beginning. A women's division without cross-gender play would take at least 6 consistent characters to run.
For the most part, I'm hoping for characters being submitted online. Anything else would just be a crippling pain in the butt. I might be willing to make a few characters here and there, especially from some kind of formula, but holy lord and baby Jesus I can't see doing that very much. If someone wants to pop up and do that for folks that are on ps4's or whatever down the line, that's awesome, but just ouch otherwise.
I can also do some mods on submitted characters- now that you can import textures (sort of, certain areas are still buggy as hell), I can photoshop junk and help out with adjustments.
Oh, and videos. I have a YouTube channel now, so I'd be uploading on there. As far as any legalize, anyone joining would have to be cool with their character being used in the videos and ending when they say so, a.k.a. whenever they leave the fed. In no way, shape or form am I remotely even suggesting ownership of anyone else's characters- just saying that if your character is a part of an event in the fed, they'll be in the videos. Y'know.
Naturally we can't use licensed music with videos, so entrances might be shortened, or if we can work out some way to do custom music, I'm down with that. Right now I can do voice stuff, some midi drums stuff, and I'm learning bass and can piddle around with a keyboard, but I don't know enough to do anything that isn't pretty basic. If anyone knows a cover band that wants some free sort-of publicity, well, that would be just peachy, LOL.
And of course, original characters only, but hell, that's kind of the point, right? lol
And rankings will work pretty much the same way they always have.
Um, anyway, that's about it right off the bat. Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc., please feel free to drop 'em here! I'm going to be trying to work up some OCW graphics for the arenas and stuff, not to mention making my own guys and stuff.
