Hey, folks!
Welcome to OCW! Here's what you need to do to become a full-on member and get your wrestler in the mix. It's divided into sections and should be pretty easy to navigate, but if you have any questions, hit up the search bar or post in the discussion area! Thanks!
I. Becoming a member
1. Create an account here on ocwfed.proboards.com
2. Read and sign the Intellectual Property Agreement!
3. Create an original wrestler according to the guidelines posted HERE. (no real wrestlers of any sort, folks!)
4. Submit your character!
-Option 1: If you're on the XBox One, you can submit by uploading your character. Use the custom tag ocwcaws so we can find you!
-Option 2: If you're on any other system, you can submit your characters in any other way that has all the details, such as videos, screen shots, written formula, or any combination of the three!
5. Introduce yourself in the discussion area and private message Supachupa to let him know you're ready to go!
6. Cut an introductory promo in The Stage.
II. Remaining a member
1. Be friendly!
2. Be approachable. Writing promos can often be a collaborative process, and asking for someone's input on your promo can avoid people yelling about how you wrote
their wrestler out of character, which is a HUGE no-no.
3. Don't be obsessed with winning. There's nothing wrong with competition, but if you only promo when you win and ignore your losses, well... in extreme cases,
we've banned folks for that. Be graceful in defeat and victory.
4. Recognize that anything goes in The Stage! Write what you want to in promos, as long as you don't write other folks' wrestlers out of character. But insults and
general jackassery won't be tolerated for long outside of The Stage.
5. Promo at least once per show, with a maximum requirement of once per week (if we get to a schedule where we're doing more than one show a week). Promos keep you
in good standing in the fed, and help the bookers figure out what to do with your character!
*promos are not REQUIRED; however, in order to be guaranteed a match at each show, promos are required. Characters that aren't promoed for are subject to being dropped from the schedule and/or roster at will. Characters that aren't promoed for are also ineligible for championship matches, except where the Committee sees fit to allow them.
III. For more information
A variety of topics will be posted here in detail, letting you know exactly how the fed is run. Feel free to read up and learn more about OCW!
