Hey again, and welcome to the OCW Wrestler Guidelines thread! These are the rules that your wrestler MUST conform to in order to become an active OCW wrestler. Wrestlers can be edited once every 3 months; details are at the bottom.
These are non-negotiable. They have been created in the interest of fairness as well as to keep folks from cooking the stats to make one unbeatable monster and everyone else following suit. We like variety, not losing every match to an overwhelming rage-beast! And a little realism. We don't ask for much (says the fed that's had cyborgs, the resurrected dead, monsters and the like), but we still just can't seem to accept super heavyweights pulling off luchadore moves or anorexic short bastards billing themselves as heavyweights. THAT SAID, here are the rules!!!
First off, the regular normal OCW "Common Sense" rule: No superfat luchadores, no ultraskinny super heavyweights.
Pretty much the same rule as always: no drastic weight class changes. I get that sometimes folks will need some stuff reworked, but no super bunches of weight cutting. That said, if a guy just isn't working out and you feel like he needs to be canned if you can't change weight classes 1 level, I'm willing to work with folks on that, though not moving to or from super heavyweight, because giants are giants and they can't ever not be giants. Yes, for real.
ABILITIES:
You character starts with 9 levels to work with. This means you can have...
9 abilities at level 1, OR
4 abilities at level 2 and 1 ability at level 1, OR
3 abilities at level 3,
or any combination that adds up to 9 total levels!
You will be able to earn additional abilities based on performance, but select some abilities that you'll be comfortable with for a while.
As we are not using My Universe mode, please observe the following!
Do NOT select Mouthpiece unless you are creating and submitting a manager. Once you do this, you're stuck with that ability for at least a long while, and your manager will NOT always be able to accompany you. Every member is limited to ONE manager MAXIMUM, so if you have 2 characters, you will NOT be able to utilize 2 different managers!
Do NOT select Brawl, Taunt, or Stare Down. These are promo-only abilities and since we aren't using My Universe mode, these will be utterly useless (and a waste of abilities) to your character.
DO set your character's Abilities before setting their Attributes! Abilities cost additional points in Overall, so if you set your Attributes and THEN your Abilities, you WILL need to go back and adjust your Attributes before submitting your character!
You do not HAVE to take ANY abilities. This will give you additional Overall to use in your Attributes, but beware! You won't be able to gain Abilities very fast down the line, as every wrestler is limited to 1 set of changes every 3 months, and changes are limited to 1 ability level!

SKILLS:

Available skills are limited by weight class. You may select as many of the listed skills as you wish for your wrestler within game limits, but you may only select from those listed under their weight class. The reasoning behind this is as follows.
Cruiserweights are light and speedy but wouldn't be able to make the big impacts, especially in a company where they'll likely be wrestling the bigger guys a good bit. Light Heavyweights have some more of the power and momentum behind them, but still have that maneuverability. Heavyweights sacrifice some speed and agility for more power. And Super Heavyweights are just big goddamn monsters with little speed and less agility. So no, no monster giants hitting superkick combos. Sorry.
EDIT: The Skill restrictions have been greatly relaxed! Enjoy.
There are a few OMG Skills that can't be used while you have other Skills selected. They are as follows:
Cruiserweight (130-205 lbs) and Light Heavyweight (206-240 lbs):
*both weight classes can use ANY skills they wish, with respect to in-game restrictions.
Heavyweight (241-320 lbs):
*Heavyweights can use ANY skills they wish EXCEPT for the following:
Special Action > Springboard Diver
Super Heavyweight (321-640 lbs):
*Super Heavyweights can use ANY skills they wish EXCEPT for the following:
Special Match Action > Elimination Chamber Daredevil
Special Action > Springboard Diver
ATTRIBUTES:
You may add as many points as long as the Overall score is 85. Again, SET YOUR ABILITIES BEFORE DOING THIS, AS ABILITIES COST OVERALL POINTS! You can decrease your Attribute points as well, but no lower than 50.
That's pretty much it. Your Overall should be 85, with no single Attribute set lower than 50. No, not even Mic Performance, which yes, is useless.
You will be able to earn more Attribute Overall depending on performance!
A full list of Attributes and what they do is HERE.
WRESTLER EDITING:
Once your wrestler is submitted and follows the guidelines, they are locked into the Skills, Abilities and Attributes you have set for roughly 3 months. I say roughly as the editing window for wrestlers will come up for everyone in the fed simultaneously, and will be marked on the calendar. Edits will then be possible with the following limits:
Abilities can only have 1 level changed. This means that 1 level can be subtracted from one Ability and added to another, or one level 1 Ability can be deleted and another one gained. If you have less than 9 Abilities at your wrestlers' start, you may add 1 Ability, but your Attributes must still add up to an Overall of 85 (or more if more Overall has been earned).
Skills may be edited at will, according to weight limit guidelines.
Attributes can be changed at will, but with no single Attribute changing more than 5 points in either direction. This will make things tricky, but change is gradual.
Weight may only be changed by 20 pounds maximum. Wrestlers may NOT become super heavyweights or leave super heavyweight status.
GAINING ADDITIONAL ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES:
Your wrestler will always be improving. However, success will always bring about faster change than defeat. That said...
Your wrestler will gain 1 additional Ability level for every 40 wins or 80 losses.
Your wrestler will gain 1 additional Overall point for every 25 wins or 50 losses.
This works simultaneously. For example, if your wrestler has a record of 40 wins and 80 losses, he will have gained 2 additional Ability levels at that point.
Similarly, if your wrestler has a record of 25 wins and 50 losses, he will have earned 2 additional Overall points at that point.
That's the whole shebang! Feel free to message Supachupa with any questions, or ask away in the Discussion area! Thanks!
