It's amazing to hit the comments section of just about anyplace on any website that covers gaming and see people insulting each other over hardware specs for a system that hasn't even been released, or that they just don't understand. I mean, it's a more powerful XBox One, that's going to allow for better performance from XBox One (and backwards compatible) games going forward, and will be upgradable a segement at a time- so basically, a regulated PC. It's not like it's a truly different system, it's not trying to match PC specs (because Christ, it would cost at least $1500 if it did, instead of the approximate $500 price point that's currently estimated), but wow, people wanna argue about it an awful lot. Personally I plan on getting one eventually, if for no other reason than the fact that I love the games I have, but the XBox One seems to love some screen tearing in its games, and I'd shell out cash just to fix that. I mean, imagine if WWE 2k17 actually ran nice and smooth! It's good during matches, but cutscenes and entrances clearly tax the system. (Or are programmed like shit- this IS 2k. lol) Anywho, just had to vent for a sec. I should know better than hitting comments sections anywhere, cuz damn, people are just hateful, spiteful bastards.

I've avoided reading the specs so far. I know if I do I'll want one as soon as they come out. I can't afford shelling out 500 bucks for a gaming system anytime soon. I'm just curious how much those system upgrades will cost.

I've avoided it too, mainly because I just don't really care that much. I mean I know it's gonna make existing games run better and that's great, but it's nothing I'm gonna spend half a grand on anytime really soon- until there are games that actually require it, I'm gonna pass. It's a nice idea though. And yeah, the upgrade factor is what's gonna really make it or break it for me. I like the idea- I mean, if the PC industry was more standardized, PC gaming would be a lot less competitive, a lot more affordable, and they'd have more customers, but instead you can throw together all the components you want but you'd better hope that the drivers all work right, and the parts are compatible, and that the parts are right for the games you want to run, etc. etc. etc. It's just a money sink, and I can really appreciate that Microsoft is trying to make a system where you don't have to shell out $500 every handful of years on a new system, and like, if something goes wrong you can replace a part instead of a whole system, and it'll be standardized so you know when you buy that upgrade, it's gonna work and it's gonna do what you want it to. No "hey look, I spent $500 on parts and STILL can't play [insert game here] past a 5 fps framerate, if it runs at all" bullshit, which is exactly what drove me away from PC gaming to begin with. It's a neat idea, and much more affordable than the alternative. Nothing I can freely afford right at the time being, but I just don't understand why people have to bitch about it- and at each other about it- when it hasn't even been released yet. People are weird, spiteful assholes sometimes.

I know the whole fanboy thing never made sense to me. I was a PlayStation nut when the first one was out then came ps2 and I jumped on it. Eventually I found a good deal on an Xbox then eventually a 360. To me Sony's leans more towards the RPG market in my opinion which FFVII ruined for me. I'm not gonna get into all that right now.
I've played pretty much every system but to me the Xbox one just suits my gaming style better. I'm not a fanboy for any system because they all have their pros and cons. If I found a good deal on a PS4 and found a game or two I liked that I couldn't get for Xbox I'd probably get one. Just most of the ones I play just so happen to be avaliable for both systems. Sometimes those exclusives don't always live up to the hype either.
Just because some argue about graphics on one vs the other. It's just a game play it for what it is not how many blades of grass you can count in a field on GTA V. I play for story and to wreak havock on unsuspecting pedestrians not how fluffy the freaking cloud looks. To each his own no sense getting all bent out of shape because so and so plays one system and not the other. We are all games no need to start any riots. Okay I think I got off track a little so I'm gonna stop here...lol

lol nah I hear ya man, I've never understood it. If I want a system bad enough, well, eventually everything gets pretty cheap. This generation is the first time there's been systems I haven't had (WiiU, Switch, PS4) in the house, and I'm in no hurry to get any of them because they just don't have anything I want that I can't already get. That said, I'm a lil pissed about Street Fighter V and Spider-Man being exclusive to the PS4, but honestly, SFV looks like 4 with a few extras, and Spider-Man... well, Spidey's had some good games, but my fav is still the ol' Spider-Man 2 for the XBox. Which is kind'a sad.
Though if you can find it, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is one of the best co-op games to play with kids on the 360. Dug the hell out of that game, Ben and I ran through it multiple times. Kind'a wanna play it just thinking about it. And Web of Shadows was a lot like Spider-Man 2, I just didn't get into it as much as I would've liked.
Anyway. lol
