Backstage Attacks, Run-Ins, Their Consequences and More:
or, how did I end up with that chair-shaped dent in my head?

Section 1: A Variety of Attacks
Yes, you can attack characters in OCW! This section details the types of attacks available, and their potential consequences.
As an OCW owner, you may request that your wrestler(s) attack other wrestlers. The types of attack available are:
A backstage attack is an attack that happens backstage. It's simmed in-game as a backstage attack, and can result in injury for both the attacker and victim. With regard to rankings, backstage attacks can gain or lose you victory points, but will not affect your wins or losses.
A run-in occurs before a match (during entrances), in the middle of a match, or after a match. Please note that run-ins can only be requested for one-on-one matches. A wrestler may run-in on his own match, interrupting his opponent's entrance and very likely canceling the match, as the ref will declare a no-contest. If a run-in is requested, the following information will need to be sent in for each run-in type:
With regard to rankings, run-ins will not affect your victory points or your win/loss record- they have no affect at all on rankings.
An impromptu match is simmed as an X-Violence Rules match. For it to really make sense, it's preferred to happen against wrestlers that are already in the ring. As tag-on-one and three-on-one matches are simmed under tag team rules, please try not to use these options unless absolutely necessary. Basically, if you can make an extreme rules match of it in-game, it can be an impromptu match attack. With regards to rankings, impromptu matches are ranked as a regular match, so it affects wins, losses, and victory points.
To request an attack, just contact the OCW simmer (The Chupster) and request the attack. Just be certain to include all details. For example:
I would like <my wrestler's name> to attack <target wrestler's name> backstage at the next Adrenalin, before <target wrestler's name>'s match.
or
I would like <my wrestler's name> to run-in on <target wrestler's name> with a baseball bat during the entrance of their match.
etc. etc. etc.
Section 2: The Consequence Tables
CONSEQUENCES OF A BACKSTAGE ATTACK:
Yes, there are consequences, coming in the form of injuries and punishment. All attacks are subject to these rolls, with the following modifiers:
INJURIES:
Since we no longer have any control over, well, anything injury-related, injuries will appear as wrestlers having to miss a number of matches, beginning with their next match (if they're booked after the attack on a show) or their match at the next show. Backstage attacks, as opposed to run-ins, are more likely to result in an injury for the victim, and are also more likely to result in a punishment for the attacker.
After a backstage attack, percentile dice (2 10-sided dice) are rolled, with the results determining the injuries incurred according to the table below. The first roll determines injuries to the victim; the second roll determines injuries for the attacker.
The Victim Injuries Table:
The Attacker Injuries Table:
PUNISHMENT:
In addition to the Injuries table, the Attacker also has to roll on the Punishment table! All affects listed are CUMULATIVE, so yeah- if you're unlucky as hell, you might be gone a while. Additionally, if your backstage attack affected a main event match or a championship match, you eat a +10 penalty to your roll! Oh, shit.
The Punishment Table:
Section 3: Limits and More Consequences
Each wrestler you have is limited to one backstage attack per show.
As noted above, if your attack affects a main event or championship match, you may have a +10 penalty added to your Punishment roll.
That's about it. It's risky, but hey, feel free to attack someone! The absolute worst that can happen is you miss the current show you're on, 3 shows after that, and have 2 shows of people being able to beat your ass to death. LOL
ADDENDUM 05/30/2017:
Only one instance of each attack is permitted. For example:
*first guy is attacked
*****victim roll says drag him into the ring and beat his ass
*****attacker roll says they get to attack again later in the show
*guy drags attacker to ring and gets his ass beat, resulting in a second victim roll
*****victim roll says drag him into the ring and beat his ass
*****attacker roll says they get to attack again later in the show
...in this instance, there will be one more attack, where the attacker's roll for the first attack lets him attack the same guy later in the show. There will not be 5 attacks with the possibility of more, because holy jumped up Christ, that's like the world's worst feedback loop.

- Entrance Run-In: Weapon used (none, steel chair, baseball bat, sledgehammer, kendo stick, championship (only if wrestler is a champion)) and target
- Mid-Match Run-In: Who the run-in wrestler is supporting (a.k.a. the opposite of the victim intended)
- Post-Match Run-In: Who the run-in wrestler is supporting (a.k.a. the opposite of the victim intended). PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE WRESTLER YOU SUPPORT WINS, THE RUN-IN WILL NOT OCCUR. (Or at least, that's what all of my testing has shown so far.)
With regard to rankings, run-ins will not affect your victory points or your win/loss record- they have no affect at all on rankings.

Section 2: The Consequence Tables
CONSEQUENCES OF A BACKSTAGE ATTACK:
Yes, there are consequences, coming in the form of injuries and punishment. All attacks are subject to these rolls, with the following modifiers:
- Impromptu Matches carry the full weight of all rolls.
- Backstage Attacks must roll on all tables, but carry a -10 bonus to their Injury rolls, so ideally things aren't AS severe as a full XV match beatdown.
- Run-Ins must roll on all tables, but carry a -40 bonus to their Injury rolls, so they should rarely cause significant problems.
- ANY attack that affects a main event match or Championship match is subject to a +10 penalty to the ATTACKER'S PUNISHMENT ROLL ONLY.
01-35 | The Victim is fine, with no lasting injuries. Any matches or appearances later in this show go on as planned. |
36-50 | The Victim goes apeshit and drags the Attacker to the ring for an XV-style impromptu beatdown! The Attacker still rolls the Injury Table and rolls it again after the second match, and both results are added. Any matches or appearances later in this show go on as planned. If the original Victim loses the match, he rolls on the Victim Injury table as well. |
51-65 | The Victim is injured and misses any matches or appearances remaining on this show only, and is fine in time for the next show. |
66-75 | The Victim is injured and misses any matches or appearances remaining on this show and the next show as they recover. |
76-90 | The Victim is injured and misses any matches or appearances remaining on this show and the next show as they recover. The Attacker adds 15 to their Injury and Punishment rolls for this attack. |
91-95 | Lucky Attacker! The Victim is injured and misses any matches or appearances on this and the next show, and the Attacker subtracts 15 from their rolls for Injuries and Punishment for this attack! |
96-100 | Scot free! The Victim is injured and misses any matches or appearances on this and the next show, and the Attacker doesn't have to roll for Injuries or Punishment! |
The Attacker Injuries Table:
01-35 | The Attacker is uninjured! Lucky bastard. |
36-45 | The Attacker is uninjured! Additionally they get to attack the Victim again backstage later tonight with no further Punishment! (Both Victim and Attacker will still have to roll for Injuries again) |
46-65 | The Attacker tweaks a body part and can't wrestle or make any appearances for the rest of the night unless dictated by the Victim's Injury roll. |
66-80 | Injury!!! The Attacker will miss any and all matches and appearances for this show and the next show. |
81-95 | Unlucky Injury!!! The Attacker will miss any and all matches and appearances for this show and the next show. Additionally, the Attacker must add 15 to their Punishment roll! This is in addition to any additions or subtractions from the Victim's Injury roll!!! |
96-100 | You fucked up. Somehow during your attack you got injured as hell! You're out for the remainder of this show, the next show, AND the show after that! And you haven't even rolled on the Punishment table yet! Oh man, you really fucked up. |
01-40 | Management realizes that these things happen and decides against levying any punishment against the attacker. |
41-60 | Management is not amused! The Attacker is suspended from the remainder of this show. Be thankful, young man! Or woman. Whatever. |
61-75 | Management decides that turnabout is fair play! The Victim is put into an XV match with the Attacker at their earliest convenience, injuries pending. |
76-90 | You pissed someone off! Whatever push or storyline you had going, you're jerking curtains now. You'll be wrestling your next two matches against the likes of Bobo the Gorilla and Johnny Super! Count your blessings that you aren't being forced to wrestle in a stupid costume! |
91-96 | You're forced to wrestle in a stupid costume. Said costume is completely at management's discretion. All roleplays must also be made in costume or the punishment will continue. Enforced for 2 matches! |
97-100 | Wow, you really managed to fuck up badly. You're suspended for the rest of the show (if you aren't already), suspended for 1 full show, and any backstage attacks against you for the following 2 shows after that will result in no punishment for the Attacker and a -15 on any Injury rolls they incur. Management reserves the right to paint a giant target on your back. Sorry, sucker. |
Section 3: Limits and More Consequences
Each wrestler you have is limited to one backstage attack per show.
As noted above, if your attack affects a main event or championship match, you may have a +10 penalty added to your Punishment roll.
