Announcement on the Facebook group, but essentially for those that aren't over there:
Okie dokie peeples, there's a better than even chance that we might start using a perpetual Universe mode to sim the shows in the near future.
It would let us use the rivalries feature, which would bring a lot more unpredictability and fun into the fed (in my opinion), especially for the non-active folks. Yes, there's the vague possibility of injury (but in my experience over the last few days, it's pretty minimal), and more than that there's the possibility that folks could earn bonuses that would assist them in matches, but the effects seem pretty minimal and- especially considering the unpredictability of the AI and how often our championships get traded around- I think it would end up being more of a benefit than anything else.
This also means that personality settings WILL change as the season moves on.
Additionally, no one will be penalized for anything their wrestler does that isn't in their control. If someone attacks someone else backstage and it wasn't something we actively booked, no one will receive any sort of penalty.
Anywho, unless something pops up that I haven't experienced yet, this will be going into effect sooner than later- possibly starting with this week's Overdrive.
If anyone has an issue with this, this would be the time to bring it up. We're a lot more laid back than we have been in the past with regards to promos, but as we go on it's becoming a lot more difficult to book anything really meaningful without promos behind it, so this is just about the best solution we currently have. Rivalries will be solely up to the discretion of the Committee, and will not only be limited to more active members, but will be assigned to (and removed from) pretty much anyone, just to add flavor where needed.
Again, if anyone has any issues with this, feel free to let it be known now. Thanks!
